Moving banks is expensive, time consuming and with a few minor exceptions the only difference between one bank and the next is your relationship manager, and each bank has good ones and bad ones of these.

Hence where possible Pearl will always try and help you to get on better with the bank you are with in the first instance. That said there are very valid reasons to move banks:

1) Commercial advantage - a new bank is cheaper and the old bank is unwilling/unable to meet the price reduction.
2) Product and policy advantage - some banks have invested in new technologies which will reduce processing time and costs for customers. Some banks have credit policy differences that suit some businesses.
3) Time for a change - Sometimes you just need to change and start afresh.

Generally we are paid by the receiving bank, so there is no direct charge to you.  Our fees are contained in the bank pricing received however it is assumed that you will only move if it is commercially viable to do so.
